About the author/illustrator:
Bonita Forsyth gained her appreciation of wildlife at an early age hiking and exploring the back country of the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, where she was born and raised. Greatly inspired by the wildlife around where she now lives, Bonita took a leave from teaching to devote her time to wildlife painting and developing the Huckleberry Hollow Book series. Bonita lives on the shores of Lac La Hache in the Cariboo with her husband and two sons.
