SNOWBOARDING BUNNY
ART PROJECT
GRADES 1 TO 4

While on tour through the Kamloops Area, I discovered this creative and fun art project, developed by Beverley Bartlett , the Grade 2 teacher at Bert Edwards Elementary School.

Step 1: The back pack:
Take a brown paper lunch bag and cut down the corners at the top of the open bag 5 cm.

Draw in or glue on grommets on the little side flaps.

Cut the back flap to resemble straps and glue on pop tin tops to straps to give the impression of buckles.

Fold down the front flap and glue on 2 matching buttons.

Decorate your pack sack with stitching detail around the edges Fill the little pack sack with shredded paper to keep it open.

Step 2: The Snowboard:
Draw a simple snowboard shape on 5x8 in. construction paper. Design and decorate your own unique snowboard with wild and colourful patterns. Pop it into the open pack.

Step 3: Sunny Bunny:
Draw Sunny Bunny on 5x8 inch white construction paper. To follow is a pre?drawn bunny to copy if you prefer. Cotton can be glued onto the bunny to give it that soft, furry texture.
Cut out your bunny and place it in your pack sack!
